About Our Chapter

The American Cancer Society GenNow Network engages young professionals across the nation in the fight against cancer.
ACS’ young professionals’ program, formerly known as the Associate Board of Ambassadors (ABOA), is rebranded as the GenNow Network. This new brand and chapter structure reflects the American Cancer Society’s commitment to engaging the next generation of leaders in the fight against cancer, uniting them under a shared mission to make a profound impact.
This exciting evolution will align the three-year-old Charlotte chapter with more than 37 chapters nationwide, allowing us to be more relevant to our audience, build connections and networking opportunities across chapters, and invest marketing dollars and resources nationally to recruit new members. By uniting under one brand, we are presenting a bold visual identity that is impactful and will develop national brand recognition.
The Charlotte chapter is led by newly elected chair Taylor Bird, HR generalist, King Machine, and vice chair, Josh Wilson, director of business continuity, Central Piedmont Community College.
